Christmas has become so commercialized that it is easy for your children to forget about the real meaning of Christmas. Some are even trying to make the holiday about anything but what it is truly about, the birth of Jesus. I found that the best way to keep the real meaning of Christmas in your child’s mind is with fun activities like having them make Jesus a birthday present or baking him a birthday cake. This can easily be made a family tradition that will leave more of a lasting impression than just reminding them with words.

Pinecone Christmas ornaments are very easy and fun for the kids to make and look great on the tree. If you live in an area where there are trees that produce pinecones than it is easy to find them for free, it not that you can purchase them at your local craft store. Once you have the pinecones you will just need some glitter, glue and an eager child or two ready to create an ornament and proudly display it on the tree.
The process is simple just have them coat the edges with glue and sprinkle on the glitter, shake off the excess glitter and let it dry. This is an easy fun family Christmas craft project that results in some quality holiday family time that will allow your child to display their ornament to everyone.
